  Episode 1 OPE.1 2012-10-18 Hikaru Morimoto is a newly recruited doctor at the Teito University Hospital Ⅲ. He is on a blind date at a night club with fellow doctors when a man suddenly falls ill. Morimoto struggles to find what is wrong. A woman approaches, takes off the sick man’s trousers, and examines his body. When paramedics arrive, she tells them he needs an emergency operation for a strangulated hernia.

  Episode 2 OPE.2 2012-10-25 Noboru Nikaido, president of a publishing company, checks into the Teito University Hospital Ⅲ with pancreatic cancer. Ryunosuke Busujima ,the director gives him the VIP treatment. Nikaido feels he is above everyone else and puts his needs ahead of everyone else’s. All the doctors, other than Michiko Daimon, are willing to say anything because a successful treatment will help the hospital.

  Episode 3 OPE.3 2012-11-08 Mitsue Hanayama, a celebrity chef and food blogger, has esophageal cancer. She checks into Teito University Hospital Ⅲ and treats the doctors with her food. While they praise her cooking, Michiko Daimon takes one bite and says, “This is awful.” The offended Mitsue turns to her blog and writes, “I met an unpleasant woman doctor.” The hospital reprimands Michiko for her manners.

  Episode 4 OPE.4 2012-11-15 Hideki Kaji, Surgeon from Surgical Dept Ⅱ and the “Laparoscopy Wiz,” appears on a television show about super doctors. He makes a name for himself when he says, “Saving patients is my priceless lifework.” His high school friend and foreign fund manager sees the show and wants Kaji to handle his duodenal cancer. Kaji sees the chance for some extra money and accepts.

  Episode 5 OPE.5 2012-11-22 Hospital Director Ryonosuke Busujima is trying to get more information about Doctor-X from Akira Kanbara. Michiko Daimon meets a girl in the hospital suffering from pain in her leg. Michiko cannot ignore her and takes her to Takuya Kishida, a pediatric surgeon and a rising star in the department. But he relies on the diagnosis of a superior and fails to catch the real cause of the girl’s pain.

  Episode 6 OPE.6 2012-11-29 Motohiko Musaka visits Michiko Daimon. He knew her before she became a doctor. Her father performed surgery to treat his liver cancer ten years ago. He was fine after the procedure, but was recently diagnosed with bile duct cancer. He gave up on treatment after hospitals turned him down. Michiko wants to help and tries to take him to Teito University Dai-san Hospital, but there’s no room.

  Episode 7 OPE.7 2012-12-06 Surgery II Chief Surgeon Takashi Torii has been hiding his bile duct cancer. Michiko Daimon advises him to get treatment right away, but he refuses to acknowledge his cancer to her. He spends his time writing the paper he plans to present at an international conference. A young doctor, Ikuya Hijikata, is set to join the ranks. Torii is prepared to do whatever it takes to defend his title.

  Episode 8 LAST OPE. 2012-12-13 Michiko Daimon takes back Surgery II Chief Surgeon Takashi Torii’s bile duct cancer surgery from Professor Ikuya Hijikata. Hospital Director Ryonosuke Busujima is livid. Tsuyoshi Teshigawara, chief professor from the main Teito University Hospital, enters the viewing room and questions why a freelance doctor is performing the surgery, instead of Hijikata, the star doctor from the main hospital.

  Episode 1 OPE.1 2013-10-17 Akira Kanbara and Michiko Daimon are enjoying the races at a horse track in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Over in the owner’s box, a woman in a luxurious fur is sipping champagne with a young man. The woman’s horse is disqualified after it gets in the way of the horse Michiko placed a bet on. Michiko ends up losing all her money and the woman’s horse suffers a life-threatening fracture.

  Episode 2 OPE.2 2013-10-24 The king of real estate, Kinya Ninomiya, is a huge supporter of Teito University Hospital Ⅲ’s Shigekatsu Hiruma. Hiruma recently operated on Ninomiya, but his ascending colon cancer has returned. Hiruma cannot afford to admit a recurrence of the cancer caused by a surgical error and tells Ninomiya he discovered a new early stage of cancer. Everyone but Michiko Daimon is ready to cooperate.

  Episode 3 OPE.3 2013-10-31 Hanako Hiruma is the chairman of the Professor Wives Club. She tells her husband, Director of Surgery Shigekatsu Hiruma, to schedule another operation for the wife of Surgery Professor Kanie. Hanako is livid after her rival Torako Mimura, the wife of an internal medicine professor, sarcastically pointed out how poor Kanie’s wife’s condition was a year after she went under the knife.

  Episode 4 OPE.4 2013-11-07 Ginza club Nakazono hostess Rumiko Shijo visits Teito Medical University Hospital to see the Director of Surgery, Shigekatsu Hiruma. Rumiko has connections to people in politics, show business, sports, and medicine. She helped Hiruma rise through the ranks with her background as an empress of Ginza. There are rumors she might be working behind the scenes for the next chief professor selections.

  Episode 5 OPE.5 2013-11-14 A world-known surgeon from Massachusetts International University Hospital, Mitsuhiko Kusakabe, returns to Japan with an invitation from the Director of Surgery, Shigekatsu Hiruma. Hiruma is planning to hold a public surgery with Kusakabe. He is hoping to increase the value of his stock by showing off his connection to the famous doctor.

  Episode 6 OPE.6 2013-11-21 The handsome lecturer, Shinobu Kondo, and the tough-looking professor, Takashi Ebina, are battling to become the next term’s Department Head. Kondo’s father visits with a medical file he received at a hospital near his house. He wants his son’s opinion, but without even looking at his file, his son says he has hepatitis and leaves him with Michiko Daimon as he joins the Director of Surgery.

  Episode 7 OPE.7 2013-11-28 The battle between Surgery and Internal Medicine intensifies. Shigekatsu Hiruma’s candidate, Shinobu Kondo, becomes a professor. Takashi Ebina is skipped and Kondo is Hiruma’s main pick for the next Department Head. But a surprising rival shows up. The former Department Head, Naoki Takano, who was transferred to Kanazawa by Hiruma, gets called back by Kazuyo Mabuchi.

  Episode 8 OPE.8 2013-12-12 Michiko Daimon was fired from Teito University Hospital and sent to the Teito University Hospital's Takamatsu No. 24 Satellite. Hideki Kaji also works at this hospital. He used to be the top surgeon at the Third Teito University Hospital, but was reassigned to a rural location because of Michiko. At the hospital, Michiko meets a young patient with a malignant form of myofibroblastoma.

  Episode 9 LAST OPE. 2013-12-19 Michiko Daimon is allowed to perform surgery on Kurumi Murata, who has a malignant myofibroblastoma, at the main Teito University Hospital Ⅲ. Cancer cells have unfortunately spread to multiple organs. Michiko plans to perform Japan’s first multi-organ ex-vivo resection by removing six organs – the stomach, pancreas, spleen, liver, large intestines, and small intestines.

  Episode 1 OPE.1 2014-10-09 Michiko Daimon is visiting an island in the South. She sees passengers that suffered injuries during a luxury cruise ship accident. She also sees Ryonosuke Busujima, the former director of the Teito University Hospital Ⅲ! Busujima is in hypovolemic shock. Michiko helps and notices something strange. Days later, Busujima is admitted to the National Advanced Medical Care Center with a cardiac tumor.

  Episode 2 OPE.2 2014-10-16 Under Succeeding Presidentr Yoshihito Tendo, the National Advanced Medical Care Center abolishes the two tower system of East and West. The two groups are merged into a Strategically Integrated Surgical Department. But the division between East and West remain. They continue to look for opportunities to take the lead, however small.

  Episode 3 OPE.3 2014-10-23 The National Advanced Medical Care Center is home to a nursing department with the nickname, the Shogun’s harem. Head Nurse Junko Shiraki is feared by the doctors. But recently, the doctors have been critical of the nurses and Junko has been frustrated by a drop in ethics. Some nurses are quitting from exhaustion because of freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon’s need to constantly operate on patients.

  Episode 4 OPE.4 2014-10-30 National Advanced Medical Center President Yoshihito Tendo makes an appearance on a television discussion program and says there was a need to establish a new organization at the national level that would have the ability to control all the medically-related issues currently distributed among multiple ministries and agencies. Journalist Hiroshi Yomo is against the idea of consolidating the power.

  Episode 5 OPE.5 2014-11-06 The power struggle between the Teito faction and Seikyo faction continues at the National Advanced Medical Center. Things are not going as planned for President Yoshihito Tendo. He is planning to choose either the East’s Takashi Ebina or the West’s Noboru Dangozaka as the next Chief of the Unified Surgery Department. An important governmental checks into the center with colon cancer.

  Episode 6 OPE.6 2014-11-13 National Advanced Medical Center President Yoshihito Tendo wants to create a new organization, the Japan Medical Industry Association, at the national level. Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Takehiro Oizumi holds the key to the creation of the new organization and has a confidential request. He wants a patient to have a prolonged hospital visit, regardless of what his tests might say.

  Episode 7 OPE.7 2014-11-20 Freelance Surgeon Michiko Daimon and Akira Kanbara are dancing at a night club. Suddenly, a loud man appears with a group of body-con gals! The club is overwhelmed with their dancing. Michiko and Akira are surprised by their performance. Soon after, one of the girls suffers a cardiac arrest. Michiko tries to jump in, but the loud man pushes her away and quickly provides first aid! Who is this man?

  Episode 8 OPE.8 2014-11-27 Freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon finds a notebook at the National Advanced Medical Center. It belongs to a girl named Chihiro. She is in the hospital with a pulmonary vein occlusion. Michiko wants to handle her operation, but Chihiro also has hypoxemia and right sided heart failure. Her doctor views her as an incurable case and there is already talk about transferring her to another hospital.

  Episode 9 OPE.9 2014-12-04 Freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon is walking around town when she notices a photoshoot for a fashion magazine. Super model Maya Kokonoe is not amused when she sees that Michiko is wearing the same coat as her. But Michiko is more concerned about Maya cringing while striking a pose. Days later, the super model visits the National Advanced Medical Center and asks for Hideki Kaji by name!

  Episode 10 OPE.10 2014-12-11 Diet Member Yoshiko Tokachi checks into the National Advance Medical Center with a severe inferior myocardial infarction and a hepatocellular tumor. She has been told by every hospital she has been to that she is incurable. But she is rumored to become the next Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. If the Center can cure Yoshiko, it could help advance President Yoshihito Tendo’s agenda.

  Episode 11 LAST OPE 2014-12-18 Akira Kanbara passes out while working and does not return to the agency office. He avoids his favorite pupil, freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon. National Advanced Medical President Yoshihito Tendo's dream of establishing the Japan Medical Industry Association comes true. The new association will be able to provide the most advanced medical care. It will control all resources and funding.

  Episode 1 OPE.1 2016-10-13 Freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon is at a Chinese restaurant in New York when a pregnant woman suddenly passes out in front of her. Michiko examines her and decides she needs an emergency operation. Another customer, Toko Kubo, is a cleaner at a nearby hospital. They quickly take the pregnant woman to the hospital and manage to save her life. Toko is amazed at Michiko’s abilities!

  Episode 2 OPE.2 2016-10-20 Toutei University Hospital Director Shigekatsu Hiruma wants to improve the hospital’s brand by selecting wealthy patients. An eighty-year-old man, Hideo Nioka, and his wife, Chiyoko, visit the hospital with a medical letter of introduction. Director of Internal Medicine Takayuki Kikawada offers to introduce them to a Satellite hospital because the couple seems to be financially insecure.

  Episode 3 OPE.3 2016-10-27 Michiko Daimon finds a lost wallet and turns it into to the authorities. Misae Suyama arrives at Toutei University Hospital to thank Michiko for the finding her lost wallet. She also wants to schedule an appointment for a deluxe examination, but the three-day is extremely expensive. Deputy Director Toko Kubo is furious and wants Michiko to act as a guardian in case Misae is unable to pay the bill.

  Episode 4 OPE.4 2016-11-03 The beautiful Yotsuba Sisters check into Toutei University Hospital. While their visit is a secret, the hospital is abuzz with rumors. The doctors are restless. Michiko Daimon visits the sisters in their room. She notices something awkward. The beautiful Mirei Yotsuba and... her sister Mion, who looks nothing like her PR photos. Mion is the patient and she is there to get treatment for obesity.

  Episode 5 OPE.5 2016-11-10 A lower rank university hospital is in the spotlight because one of their papers was published in an American medical journal. Totei University Hospital Director Shigekatsu Hiruma is feeling bitter. He wants everyone to write papers. The doctors are pushed to surgeries without rest. The extra work excites freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon, but the other doctors and nurses are starting to get tired.

  Episode 6 OPE.6 2016-11-17 Toutei University Hospital Deputy Director Toko Kubo leads the other doctors in a coup to overthrow Shigekatsu Hiruma. The next day, Hiruma gathers the media for a press conference. The doctors are curious and fill the room. A professor John Starkey from the Harvard Medical School and Takashi Ebina from the National Advanced Medical Center are also at the press conference. What is Hiruma plotting?

  Episode 7 OPE.7 2016-11-24 Tickets to a recital by “deaf pianist” Takashi Nanao arrive at the Kanbara Locum Doctor Agency. Akira Kanbara is suspicious because there is no sender on the envelope. But he invites Michiko Daimon anyhow. He then finds out that Nanao’s assistant, Yuka Nanase, sent the tickets. She has been researching treatment methods because she believes Nanao’s music can only get better if his hearing returns.

  Episode 8 OPE.8 2016-12-01 The popular Yuta Yaotome, also known as “The last single major artist,” suddenly disappears from the stage. There are rumors he might be going overseas for a secret ceremony. In reality, Yaotome has liver cancer. There are multiple tumors spread across a wide area. He is a secret patient at Toutei University Hospital. Yaotome’s case is considered top secret. The details are carefully guarded.

  Episode 9 OPE.9 2016-12-08 Keirin University Hospital, a longtime rival of Toutei University Hospital, was recently ranked the top hospital. Hanako Hiruma, president of the Toutei Women’s Association, gets into it with Ritsuko Samejima, president of the Keirin Women’s Association. Akira Kanbara wants to promote his business and takes freelance surgeon Michiko Daimon to a social gathering attended by both associations.

Michiko Daimon wants to save fellow colleague Hiromi and offers to be her surgeon. But even with Michiko’s skills, complete removal of Hiromi’s cancer is impossible. Hiromi turns down Michiko’s offer. She is prepared to die and the only thing she wants to do now is save money for her daughter.
