Warning: spoilers
With an asteroid on a collision course with Earth, NASA's Dan Truman concludes that the only solution is to drill into its surface and set off a nuclear bomb. He recruits renowned driller Harry Stamper, who accepts the dangerous space mission on the condition that he can bring his own hotshot crew. Among them is the cocksure A.J., whom Harry considers unworthy of his daughter—until the mission proves otherwise.
