Scott has drifted through life since losing his firefighter father at age seven. Now in his mid-20s, he still lives with his exhausted ER nurse mother, spends his days smoking weed with friends Oscar, Igor, and Richie, and secretly hooks up with childhood friend Kelsey. His ambition to become a tattoo artist remains out of reach. When his mother begins dating a loudmouth firefighter named Ray, Scott is pushed to grapple with his grief and take his first tentative steps forward.
