By 2038, Earth's mineral resources are exhausted, and corporations battle over the remaining deposits on other planets and moons. One major mining company has lost all but one mineral moon, and its fully automatic mining robots are disappearing on their return flights. With no one else willing, prisoners are sent to defend the mining station. Among them is undercover agent Stone, tasked with uncovering what happened to the expensive robots. In an atmosphere of corruption, fear, and hatred, he is caught between rival groups.
