Sun, 14, has written and published a story based on her late grandfather's tale of Hadara, a wild child separated from his family in a storm and saved by ostriches, then raised in the desert among wild animals, including his best friend, a desert fox. After a local community that heard about her book invites her to the Sahara, Sun meets Kharouba, a Nomad girl her own age, and realizes Hadara may be much more than a character in a bedtime story.
