Set in the Dominican Republic in 1965, Hotel Coppelia follows a group of prostitutes working at a seaside brothel whose lives are upended when freedom fighters launch a revolutionary coup. The uprising makes them believe a better life and perhaps love are within reach. However, when the US Army suppresses the revolution and commandeers the brothel as a military base, the women face a difficult choice: collaborate with the occupying soldiers or preserve their dignity at any cost.
