A joint DEA and U.S. Army task force is formed to dismantle one of South America's largest drug cartels. Assaults on the cartel's mountainous compound have repeatedly failed because of a Scorpion attack helicopter piloted by cartel leader Eric Stoller (Bert Rhine). After several aircraft are shot down, including two UH-60 Black Hawks and their AH-1 Cobra escorts, the army turns to the new AH-64 Apache, which can match the enemy's maneuverability and firepower.
