Plot
Max Renn runs a trashy TV channel and is desperate for new programming. He finds "Videodrome," a show of torture and punishment, and broadcasts it. When his girlfriend auditions and disappears, he investigates and learns the violence may be real.

Desperate for programming to attract viewers, Max Renn, president of a trashy TV channel, discovers "Videodrome," a show dedicated to gratuitous torture and punishment. Seeing a potential hit, he broadcasts it. But after his girlfriend auditions for the show and never returns, Max investigates the truth behind Videodrome and finds that the graphic violence may not be as fake as he thought.
