After escaping imprisonment, Gellert Grindelwald begins gathering followers to his cause of elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one capable of stopping him is Albus Dumbledore, the wizard he once called his closest friend. Dumbledore seeks help from his former student Newt Scamander, who thwarted Grindelwald once before and agrees to help, unaware of the dangers ahead. As love and loyalty are tested even among the truest friends and family, lines are drawn in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
