Cole Young’s fighting career has seen better days, and he knows nothing of the heritage that makes him a target. Emperor Shang Tsung sends his most formidable warrior, Sub-Zero, after him. To stand a chance, Cole looks for the champions defending Earth and trains alongside them. The experience forces him to prepare for opponents far removed from the ones he has faced as an MMA fighter. What begins as an effort to survive a relentless pursuit puts him on the front line of a battle against Outworld with consequences for the universe.
