In London, Carol lives with her family, including her father, the renowned musician Lionel Mudagolas, who is currently having trouble playing his cello. She begins hearing an unfamiliar voice call her name and wonders if it connects to her favorite band Gable Screen's rough patch and Big Ben's inexplicable silence. Suddenly transported to another world, Carol learns she might be the girl predestined to battle Gigantica, a demon lord who has recently brought chaos to that strange land.
