Mado, a small-town letter carrier, searches for a good Catholic man who loves sunrises as much as she does, even posting signs around town. Her friend Germaine has looser morals, and when a film director arrives, Mado takes notice—but he seems drawn to Germaine.

In this gentle comedy, Mado (Marianne Groves) delivers mail in her small town while hoping to find a good Catholic man who shares her love of sunrises. She advertises her interest on posters around town, and though the townspeople mock her, she remains undeterred. Her best friend Germaine (Isabelle Gelinas) is prettier and less morally strict. When a film director (Oleg Yankovsky) comes to town, everyone is excited, but Mado is especially curious about him—yet he appears interested in Germaine, and he is out of Mado's league anyway.
