Warning: spoilers
Nocturne is a taut chamber drama set in a musty suburban estate. A pretty but drab-looking woman named Eichhorn returns there upon the death of her mother, who in flashback is revealed as a fiercely proper and dominating figure. Eichhorn's depressed reveries are abruptly interrupted by the unexpected arrival of a pair of amoral, free-spirited young lesbian lovers seeking shelter from the rain.
